“I look upon Switzerland as an inferior sort of Scotland.” Sydney Smith

Written by: DJ

Martina is away on business in Switzerland, and I have offered to look after the blog in her absence. I hope when she sees this entry that she will forgive my gentle leg pulling with regard to her homeland!  😉 To be honest, I’m not sure that the Rev. Sydney Smith was entirely correct in his assessment of Switzerland.

Having seen and photographed both landscapes, I would say that they are remarkably similar; both are mountainous and unforgiving, expansive and beautiful.  Both locations have left me feeling closer to nature than any other places on Earth.

Today’s photographs are of Ben Lomond, situated in the Trossachs National Park in Scotland – which is home to some of the most  beautiful locations I have ever had the pleasure to photograph.
