People are often critical of flower photography, dare I say equating it to cat photography, (of which, if I am honest, I am not a great fan of!) but not me- I love it!

Perhaps it is dismissed,  because  the first thing we all do when we get our shiny new digital cameras- is run off and take a close-up of our favourite azalea/cactus/daisy. However, done right, flower photography is a glimpse into another world, alien to our own, but infinitely more beautiful and tender.

“Stretching his hand out to catch the stars, he forgets the flowers at his feet.” Jeremy Bentham
