Window on the World

This is the view from the peak of mount Pilatus – or more precisely it is the vista from the viewing deck.

Worth two minutes of anyones time to stop and take in the view, I’m sure you’ll agree!

The scene outside the window is nice, but I really love the shadows inside.

  4. Love the feel of that very minimalist shot, it’s great. Also reminds me of a Bond film but can’t remember which

  5. wonderful framing and composition, love the light too

  6. Die Entsättigung des Bildes hat seinen Charme, und der goldene Schnitt hat einfach seine Berechtigung, sehr schön!!

  7. First, Martina, beautiful photo…wonderfully composed.

In the not so distance past there would have been no doubt this photo was of someone looking out windows onto a mountain peak scene. But in this age, a fleeing thought passed through my mind — it could be two very large flat video panels instead of windows. Reality is going to be harder to discern as technology advances. :-)

  8. Beautiful light and perspective. I think I could sit there for hours.

  9. beaucoup, de sérénité dans cette belle composition. Beau travail.

  10. Oh, this is very nice – looks like something out of a lifestyle magazine or advertisement. Crisp, clean, and intriguing.

  13. Wow! It’s my first time visiting your blog, and I just wanted to say this image is plain marvellous. Such wonderful mood, and I loved the framing. It’s like watching sliding windows….

  14. Time stopped… The framing of this composition is very successful.
